The Town of Cottage City uses outside contractors to ensure all Town roadways and sidewalks are cleared of snow and ice in a timely manner (within 24hrs of snowfall).
In the event of snow, please remember the following:
- Do not park on the street if possible.
- Park only on the EVEN side of the street if you cannot park off of the
street. - Remember that shoveling and clearing the sidewalk in front of a single-family home or business is the responsibility of the homeowner, renter, or business proprietor.
- Snow needs to be removed within 48 hours.
- Please don't place snow in the street.
